I woke standing on a beach tinged blood red.

Looking about, I saw to my horror, body parts strewn everywhere upon the ground. So frightened was I that I ran along the beach's edge, hoping to escape this grisly scene. Suddenly, before me an Angel appeared with the most beautifully highlighted red, curly hair I had ever seen, cascading about his shoulders.

The Angel swooped me into his arms and off we soared into the heavens. Sensing my terror, he whispered, "Fear not my sweets. I will never hurt you. I love you. I am taking you to a place where you will always be happy.We will always be together. I promise." He then squeezed me tightly in his arms to reassure me.

Finally, I relaxed in my Angel's arms enough to turn and look down to see the earth fading quickly from view. He kissed me lovingly on the cheek and gave me another comforting hug. I felt so safe and secure in his strong loving arms.

Stopping in midair, my Angel pointed towards earth. " Look!" he exclaimed.

"There!" my Angel cried. "She's lovely!"

Unexpectedly, I found myself cast into space. My very essence filled with every emotion possible, ranging from disbelief to sheer horror. "You said you loved me", I cried. "You said you would never hurt me", sobbing, knowing my body would hit the earth at any moment.

And when I crashed, I shattered into hundreds of pieces. Looking up before my eyes closed forever, I saw my Angel flying into the heavens holding in his arms, another woman. I then knew I was not the first nor would I be the last whose life would be crumpled and left scattered for miles by my Angel, whom I loved for a time.
