I waken this morning

To my delight I see

A happy glowing face

Smiling oh so mischievously


Her bouncing auburn locks

Reflecting in the light

Making my daughter a breathtaking sight


So cheerful is she

Showing in her light hearted smile

Her giggling disposition

Makes motherhood worthwhile


Thank you my precious child

For all the joy you bring

The infinite love in your soul

Makes my heart sing


And I'll always cherish these times

The pleasure you have given to me

That glowing happy face
